Should not be done: Binge eating disorder is a psychiatric/behavioral disorder, not a neurosurgical disorder. As a specialty, we do not perform psychosurgery as a rule. There are some rare exceptions (ocd). Eating disorders are best managed by counseling and behavior modification.
