Saline, saline, sali: Nasal mucous is a normal part of your nose and sinues, so you can never totally get rid of it. However, if it is bothersome because it is thick, try saline rinses (like a netipot or squeeze bottle variety) and consider a otc mucolytic like Mucinex (guaifenesin) which helps to break up mucous. See your doctor for fever, or green mucous that doesn't improve after 5-7 days.
