A member asked:

Please explain why people vomit after a tonic clonic seizure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not very common: A generalized seizure could result in tongue biting with bleeding and tendency to choke and trigger vomiting. Rare that folks actually choke on tongue but this could trigger a gag reflex with vomiting. Aspiration into the lung is likewise uncommon but this too could provoke the GI distress.
