Loud sounds/babies: You could have your baby checked out by and ENT doctor as it is difficult to know if your baby is hearing well or not. It is not a good idea to be close to gun shots or near guns for babies for that matter.

Unlikely an issue: There is always a chance that an explosive sound might cause a perforated ear drum in someone standing nearby. This could be evaluated by your pcp. The infant is unlikely to go deaf from such an exposure, if they suffered a perforation it could self repair within days. Your doc could check the kid and monitor him/her in the future with this in mind.
