Adrenaline: Our body responds to fear with a release of adrenaline. Adrenaline (the flight or fight hormone) prepares our body for an emergency by decreasing the circulation to the limbs (so you bleed less if you get slashed) & shunting the blood to the major organs. It also increases respiration which changes the pH of the blood which can cause a tingly sensation.
