I'm just wondering, if you catch pancreatic cancer in a early stage that shows no symptoms could it be fixed?

Possibly: If a biopsy is done at an early point and treatment initiated very early the outcome is obviously improved.

Potentially yes: For all cases of pancreatic cancer (adenocarcinoma), the survival is very poor. The one year survival is 20%, and the five-year survival is 4%. However, if the cancer is caught early and is completely removed with surgery, and with proper adjuvant therapy, the five-year survival can be as high as 20 to 25%.

Potentially : Many factors influence cure in cancer. Prostate cancer that is early stage, low grade and small in size can be managed well with long life expectancy. This is importance of screening.

Yes: Size and nodal status are the best indicators of how early/late a pancreatic tumor has been detected. The best prognosis is with patients that have tumors < 2cm, and lymph nodes negative. Even better prognosis for patients with only small foci of disease within cystic lesions of the pancreas. In these, 5-year survival may be as high as 50% depending on type. Only surgery offers a chance for cure.
