Safe.: It was safe 4 months ago. In general, having sex is not likely to affect DVT / pe. Did your doc specifically Prohibit this? I assume you are still taking coumadin (warfarin).

Dvt: After 4 months the DVT becomes chronic and hardened as it gets resorbed. Not likely to embolize anymore. Especially if you are on anti coagulation. Shouldn't be a problem.
