Hard to say: This may be normal but you do not indicate what type of pain, where it is located and any other accompanying symptoms. If concerned, see your doctor. Ultrasound may alleviate your concerns regarding serious problems in the pelvis.

Dysmenorrhea: It sounds like you have a common problem called dysmenorrhea. Menstrual cramps usually occur in ovulatory cycles. Menstrual pain can be caused by other problems like fibroids, polyps, endometriosis. Simple medications like Motrin can help. If continued pains then see your physician to see if you have one of the more complicated causes.
