Depends: If there was no infection prior to drainage, i wouldnot recc antibiotics to prevent an infection . Unless you are immunosuppresed there is no need for antibio. Your dr can tell you wether or not you have an infection. Other than that keep it clean, and covered. Seek help if fever, tenderness, pain occurs. Resection might be indicated if you have a recurrent ptoblem.

Excision : The only way to completely prevent it from coming back is to have it cut out. This is usually not necessary and only done if it keeps returning. After it has drained, antibiotics are usually not necessary.
