Get doc's ok: There are many types of ankle fractures. Some are stable and some are not. Also it depends on how long since the injury. Ankle fractures in general take about 6-8 weeks to heal. Call your doc for best advice.

Ankle fracture: No, for a fracture you will need to maintain stability and minimize motion around the fracture sight. If your doctor recommended a cam boot, it's because he or she felt you needed that increased stability that is provided by the boot. If you did not see a doctor and are trying home remedies, i'd recommend finding a physician in your area. Good luck, hope that helped.
