1-2 days: Is this a bladder infection or a true kidney infection (pyelonephritis)? If bladder infection, the symptoms include frequency burning and urgency. With pyelonephritis, people are sick, fever nausea vomiting and severe side pain. It can take a day or two to get better with bladder infection, if not get back to the doctor, you may need a different antibiotic, if pyelonephritis, talk to doc today.
