Terrible indigestion when i consume anything containing dairy, but lactaid pills don't help. is it possible to have lactose intolerance that isn't helped by lactaid? my digestion is otherwise perfect.

There are many possibilities: You need a gastrointestinal evaluation. This is best done by a gastroenterologist. There are other products for lactose intolerance. Your evaluation will see if there's another reason besides the lactose intolerance.

Lactaid and Lactose : It is possible your what you think is lactos intolerance is not just that. You may have lactose intolerance, but your doctor can do a simple test to check for this. Lactaid does not work all the time for this condition.

Lactose intolerance: The simple answer is yes. However, you may just need to avoid dairy altogether. Remember, we are the only mammals to consume dairy after infancy (the only period in our lives in which we require milk) so it is natural to loose lactase as we age. Keeping a food diary will also help as it may be something else.
