How do you ask a doctor for a copy of your test reports without them getting offended?

Getting reports: The problem of giving away copies of tests is that most patients misinterpret the results and get nervous because they are not trained to interpret the results and they question every number out of range or the interpretation of the radiologist or whoever reads a test. Physicians get offended because in fact patients are not trusting them. "one physician cures, two doubt, three kill" .Part 2.

Ask nicely: You are entitled to a copy of your health records. You may charged for the cost of copying. However, reading lab tests does require expertise and results are likely to be mis-interpreted. It would be best to discuss the results with your physician.
