Allergy/intolerance: There both skin & blood tests that can help classify food allergies. A blood test is a safer way to look for worrisome issues like severe reactions to nuts/fish/etc. that might trigger a major response (IgE mediated anaphylaxis). However, you can be intolerant to certain foods that you are not allergic to. Sometimes a simple food diary keeping track of reactions can be the best test.
