Oral iron: Sounds like borderline iron deficiency (without knowing the lab normal ranges). Most iron deficiency can be repleted with oral iron -- often a few to several months. And knowing the source of iron (blood) loss. In women it is usually menses, but not always. Replacing iron for a low (hypo) ferritin without anemia does not improve symptoms.
