Am now on 30ml methadone for fibromyalgia, i have long qt, my doc wants to put me on subutex but it's not good for pain though. what to do?

Tough/Simple choice: In such circumstances, unfortunately the choice is straightforward but tough. Doc would be irresponsible not to taper off Methadone given that there's now increased risk of dying from an irregular heartbeat. If Methadone is only thing that worked for pain this could be scary but really the choice is between partial pain control vs death. Keep your doc informed of your concerns. Hope this works out.

Subutex does help: Pain. Not as good as Methadone but for fibromyalgia? You need a dimensional approach. Sleeping at night or grinding teeth during sleep? If so, low dose med for sleep can be huge for pain. An snri, like cymbalta, (duloxetine) different mechanism for pain control, in conjunction w/subutex, low dose Clonazepam at night, gabapentin, may get better relief of fibromyalgia by helping pain, mood and anxiety.Gdluc.
