Subutex for Pain: The fda has not approved subutex for pain although clinical trials suggest it may be effective for pain. Subutex is approved for the treatment of opiate dependency or addiction although the say it works is similar to the way Methadone works and seems to help with some forms of pain. If Methadone is working, it might be helpful to try subutex, but keep in mind the fda has not approved it for pain.

Disagree: There are effective treatments for fibromyalgia. I do not believe that methodone is one of them. Get second opinion from an unassociated rheumatologist.

Why?: I really suggest you consider other treatments for firbromyalgia which include physical therapy, counseling and medications which are not as addictive as Methadone or subutex.
