Amniotic fluid: There is great variability in the amount of amniotic fluid in pregnancy. Some have a lot and some have a little.

Worrisome issue: Babies make their own fluids & these provide a bit of cushion for the baby to develop, pushing the uterine walls back to allow for growth. Too little fluid could compress baby enough to prevent the lungs from developing. It can reflect problems with babies kidneys or swallowing system. Some have more fluid than others. Clarify the issue with your ob.No fluid can be a big problem.
