Tonsil stones: Tonsil stones are considered by some to be a common cause of tonsil/throat pain and they don't generally respond to antibiotics. Some gargle salt water or hydrogen peroxide mixed with water and/or mouthwash. I've had patients try a waterpik or a variety of other methods. If it doesn't get better or the stones continue, you might talk to a specialist to discuss your options further.
