When they draw blood work to check for imflamation what could they be looking for ? lupus ? anti fospholipid antibody syndrome ?

Basic screen: If you are seeing your primary, you probably get a basic screen (sed rate, crp, as well as rh factor, and ana) to determine whether you have an inflammatory autoimmune process. We usually do not check antiphospholipid antibodies to assess inflammation.

The doctor is checking me for lupus. First my C-reactive protein was high and my antinuclear antibodies was positive. So more blood work and urine. No?
I had a biopsy for localized Discoid Lupus. It came back positive. Blood work shows 1:80 ANA, negative for DS-DNA and negative for SM Antibody. Should I be concerned that I also have SLE?
