Femoral vein repair: Suspect have already answered your question but this one a bit different. Pain with exercise in your situation could relate to narrowing or occlusion of either repaired vessel. At very least need an ultrasound and would suggest you see a vascular surgeon.

Swelling p exercise : There is a reasonable chance that after healing up from the gunshot wound your venous drainage out of that leg as not as good as before the injury and now vigorous exercise overwhelms your drainage capacity leading to swelling. If needed a vascular surgeon could evaluate it for you.

Venous outflow : Clots in the vein or use of the vein to fix the artery may mean it is harder for blood to flow OUT of your leg after it is pumped into it. Elevation of your leg after exercise and compression stockings during exercise can help. See your surgeon.
