I'm just wondering, if you smoke to much cannabis does it cause schizophrenia or other pyschotic problems?

NO BUT: It is smoke and will cause cancer like other smoke. It will also make you less toleratn to pain and make it hard for the doctor to treat pain with other medications. Since they can't use cannabis inthe hospital you will have more severe pain. On other topics, it will make you less motivated to study work out and succeed in school or in your job. So if you wan to be a dope smoke dope.

THC psychosis?: More than 50% of drug and alcohol dependent patients have psychiatric disease. Using the drugs and or alcohol can "self treat" psychiatric symptoms. Marijuana, or active ingredient thc, is not a cause of psychosis, but may be a precipitating factor in a psychotic episode. Other drugs will cause psychosis related to dose, or type of drug.

Possibly: There is literature to indicate that cannabis increases the likelihood of an individual who is predisposed to developing schizophrenia to express the condition. In addition, individuals who have psychotic conditions are especially adversely effected when they use cannabis.
