About

Bio

Noted as world expert in computerized anesthesia records. He instituted the first fully operational official computer record system in a US Anesthesia department ( probably the world) in 1988. As a result he became an expert in measuring outcomes and quality improvement > this lead to publications and expertise in several areas including published the lowest post anesthesia vomiting rates in the country. Other areas include vigilance, airway control, deep extubation, legal mattters in anesthesia, and several other outcome ralated items. He has spoken at over 20 anesthesia residency programs and 20 anesthesia meetings on three continents. His department became the first to have a pay for preformance system and developed P4P contracts with three insurance companies inthe mid 1990's. He strongly believes that 50% of doctors' pay should be for the results of their work. consumers shud be able to find outcomes on physicians and hospitlas and select their providers based on these verified outcomes. Whats is your surgeons woudn infection rate? is is good or bad?
