Don't know, cause: Because ocd is not a a very common disorder, studies that could help us answer your question have not been done. Therefore, discuss this question with your physician. On a different note - i hope you are involved in psychotherapy (exposure and response prevention - a form of cbt) that is as important as meds in ocd. In many instances, this helps lower med doses. Very variable: In my practice, with my patients, I have found that when I have a patient with OCD taking a full therapeutic dose of an antidepressant, and still needs additional help from an antipsychotic like Seroquel, (quetiapine) the usual dose range is 50 - 300mgs. It may be that 100 mgs will be sufficient for you. Please discuss this in detail with your treating physician.
