Nasal lavage: Try 1/4 tsp of xylitol in a pint of warm water and snort it up into your nose- not into your lungs. This makes the bacteria slippery and less likely to stick together, and easier to get out of the body. There is a manufactured product like this, but id very hard to find.

Recommendation: If you have encountered upper respiratory tract sinusitis and bronchitis longer than 5-7 days, you will recover far more rapidly by taking an antibiotic. The OTC items may assist in decongestion, and controlling cough but represent symptomatic relief solely. Supplements of vitamin C and D, with added zinc lozenges seem to also assist more rapid recovery.
