Paroxysmal vertigo: Sudden episodes of intense vertigo, with or without nausea and vomiting, can be migraine equivalents, and may or may not be associated with the headache per se. Wise to get tested to confirm diagnosis. Best way to control, use prophylactic migraine meds such as depakote, topirimate, beta-blockers, but also consider otc preps like magnesium, riboflavin, feverfew, butterbur.
