Avoid: Unless absolutely medically necessary, i wiuld avoid all medically invasive interventions, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Why do you need it?: Per safety committee of the society for MRI & what i tell my patients-"mri may be used in pregnant women if other nonionizing forms of diagnostic imaging are inadequate or if the examination provides important information that would otherwise require exposure to ionizing radiation...To date there has been no indication that the use of clinical MRI during pregnancy has produced deleterious effects".
