Not true: Calorie counts for foods are often inaccurate because they count non-absorbable carbohydrates including Cellulose and fiber -- there's some really poor science here. You don't see people getting fat eating apples. The 19 gm listed for a big apple (76 calories) is still way below the 39 gm / 156 calories from a can of sugary soda, and you know that two apples won't fill you up like pop.

Strawberries: Coca cola has 39 grams sugar/can; apples have 13.3 g sugar. Big difference! also, the amount of fiber in the fruit modulates how quickly its sugar would be absorbed and result in Insulin peaks. There's no fiber in coca cola, so you get a jolt of sugar! lower-sugar fruits include strawberries, blackberries & blueberries: http://tinyurl.Com/mya2jsm by the way -- a tomato is a "fruit" too. :-).
