A member asked:

Are internal hemorrhoids always diagnosed with an anascope exam or can they be missed?

Hemorrhoids: Depending on the severity of the hemorrhoids, there is always the chance that they can be missed. Usually though, they will be found if they are there. Internal hemorrhoids are painless, so therefore less noticeable to the patient. A good way to prevent them is to have a diet with adequate fiber and fluids to prevent straining when going to the bathroom.
