A member asked:

My left ear keeps going numb for a second. sometimes when it happens my cheek goes numb too. noticed physical activity takes the numbness away. why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can evaluate: Numbness of an ear usually means the skin sensation of the earlobe and cheek have decreased. An ENT doctor or a neurologist can evaluate to see if something is bothering the sensory nerve to those areas on the head. Not sure why physical activity changes things, but activity does change blood flow. Of course, there are hundreds of types of physical activity, so the doctor will ask for details.
