Good : You always can improved your cardiorespiratory endurance. Follow the aerobic target zones and plan your aerobic exercises. Also i will advice weight lift exercises in combination. It will improve your endurance and complement aerobic. Remember, the muscle is the most metabolic active organ. Have fun. I am in great shape at early 50 with the above program.
