Thick coarse hairs: How extensive is acne? Ther coukd be underlying hormonal problem if acne is severe. For the ingrowns and acne a topical retinoid cream such as retin a, (tretinoin) differing, altralin can slowly peel the skin and unfold the ingrowns. An alternative is laser hair removal which can remove the problem hairs permanently.

Ingrown hairs: Ingrown hairs are more common when the hair is more coarse & curly. Using an Alpha hydroxy wash/lotion will help exfoliate your skin, Retin-A exfoliates and helps build new collagen over time., salicylic acid can exfoliate and help with acne if this is a problem. Glycolic peels help. Getting laser hair removal will do wonders. They may recommend a peel in certain areas to improve the response.
