A member asked:

Is it safe to eat salmon during pregnancy? and if so what do salmon contain?

Dr. Liza Kunz answered

Yes: Salmon is an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids, which are good for fetal brain and heart development. In general we do advise women to be careful about their fish consumption because of concerns for mercury ingestion.
