UFE does not remove: A myomectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the fibroids. Ufe (uterine fibroid embolization) does not remove them, it shrinks them. Hysterectomy permanently cures the fibroids and all of their symptoms. The decision as to the best treatment for your fibroids depends upon their size and number, your symptoms and your plans for future childbearing.

UFE: While ufe does not remove the fibroids it does kill them. Much the same way that we treat liver, kidney and lung tumors with embolization and ablation. The tissue dies and that is that. With ufe you might still get pregnant (if that is desired). You will still have your period (until menopause). This is really a patient decision, surgery to remove the uterus vs minimally invasive procedure.
