Consult IR: You would need to get an opinion from an interventional radiologist (ir). If you go to sirweb.Org you will see irs listed by state and when you click on your state, they will list by city. There should be ir near you. You would need to talk to someone who is expert in uterine fibroid embolization (ufe) and see if you are a candidate for ufe. Compare risks/benefits with surgical choices. Good luck.

Nutritional Rx: Fibroids are a result of high estrogen levels. High estrogen can be caused by excessive carbohydrate intake (via competetive inhibition of glucoronidase enzyme) therefore a low carb diet is beneficial to reduce estrogen and help shrink fibroids. You may also have low iodine, thyroid problems, low progesterone. All of these things should be evaluated. All phytoestrogens should be avoided.
