Safe and Effective: Lupron (leuprolide) (gnrh agonist) can control fibroids with medical menopause. Embolization can treat by blocking the blood supply to the fibroids. Both however, are not definitive treatment & may only improve symptoms. Surgery with an experienced gyn surgeon is both effective & safe and can be done laparoscopically (myomectomy or hysterectomy). Talk to your gyn to see which is best for you & good luck.

Nutritional Rx: Fibroids are a result of high estrogen levels. High estrogen can be caused by excessive carbohydrate intake (via competetive inhibition of glucoronidase enzyme) therefore a low carb diet is beneficial to reduce estrogen and help shrink fibroids. You may also have low iodine, thyroid problems, low progesterone. All of these things should be evaluated. All phytoestrogens should be avoided.
