If a written report on a mri says that you have a displaced meniscus does that mean that the meniscus is torn? if so how is it fixed? please explain

Not necessarily: If a meniscus is displaced, it is not necessarily torn, although it is more likely, since abnormal forces were applied to the meniscus to displace it. Depending on the displacement, arthroscopic surgery can be used to repair the joint.

Displaced meniscus: The term displaced generally means that a protion of the meniscus is "out of place" and this generally implies a tear.
