No: You are not. Give your doctor a chance to guide your care. Give the new medicine three days and see. If it's better, great! if not, keep your doctor abreast. Keeping a positive attitude, and faith in their caring for your well-being will go a long way to getting better. Dosage for different medicines is not as critical as trust, judgment, and experience.

Pain control needed: my suggestion is you should contact with your doctor again after evaluating you again he can change medication or adjust dosages
