A member asked:

What is the significance of positive mycoplasma igg and igm antibody titers in patients with dysautonomia or pots and chronic fatigue?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Uncertain: Research to answer this question has not yet been satisfactorily performed. There are several illnesses with which mycoplasmal infection has purported to have been associated, including coronary artery disease. Antibodies to this organism, whether igg or igm do not prove active infection, to say nothing about causation of other illnesses. The theory is interesting and deserves further study.
