ERCP: Sounds like you may have a retained common bike duct stone, and you're not ill. This is generally diagnosed and treated with a special kind if upper endoscopy called ercp. Dye is injected into the bile duct, and the little valve between the duct and small intestone is cut open so the stone can be removed. Complication rate low, need experienced GI doc.

It depends: If you have no symptoms and a stone in the bile duct has been ruled out, you should not have to worry. Common duct often appears slightly dilated after removal of gall bladder. You can also easily follow this up with future ultrasounds to assure that it is stable.
