Unrelated problem?: Your short description does not elaborate on the reason the cervical disc surgery was recommended. Assuming that it is indicated the description of your symptoms would suggest that you (also) have a shoulder problem which may or may not contribute to your spasms. It still may nor require treatment but it would be in my opinion worthwhile to clarify what the expectations for after surgery will be.
