Avoid water: For some reason, water makes it worse. Drink sports drinks, juice, or soda. Avoid foods that are spicy or fried. Avoid citrus (lemons, limes, oranges) and tomatoes. Stick to bland foods like bananas, cereal, rice, and bread. Add a protein such as peanut butter.

BRAT diet: When you are nauseous, the more bland the food the better. It will irritate your already irritated stomach less. Bread, bananas, rice (white), apple sauce, toast. Avoid high fiber as this can cause some increased irritation and gas. Also avoid dairy while you are nauseous. Try saltines, as many people feel the light flavor, small amount of salt, and absorptive properties all help. Hope that helps!
