See your doctor: Your cough triggered by tart foods or rough textured foods could be due to a number of different things such as asthma, food allergy, esophageal stricture related to acid reflux, espophageal web or ring (schatzki's). You need to be evaluated by your doctor possibly with a food allergy panel (such as immunocap), cxr, pft, a barium swallow and maybe a referral to a gastroenterologist.
