More info: Your diagnosis could be a couple things. If you had a bright spot on the xray it could represent a bone infarct, an osteoid osteoma which is typically painful at night and alleviated with Aspirin or ibuprofen, an old area of infection (sequestrum) or something more concerning like a metastatic lesion (less likely if dealing with it for three years and pretty young). Would have it looked at. ?Ct.
