can hormonal imbalance cause chronic cervicitis? thanks.

Dr. Alan Patterson

No: It has nothing to do with that, cervicitis can be caused by an infection or chronic irritation, your doc can do a colposcopy and biopsy to confirm the diagnosis and there are various treatment options if necessary, please see your gyn.
