Herpetic cervicitis?: Yes, genital herpes can cause cervicitis. However, cervicitis of other and unknown causes also are common. You need testing for other STDs if not yet done, especially gonorrhea and chlamydia. Also, make sure your buttock sores or lesions are herpes. Buttock outbreaks occur but uncommon; most recurrent genital herpes is in the genital area (vaginal, labia, etc). Check with Dr. if uncertain.

Yes: Herpes can cause cervicitis. It also effects the external genitalia, vagina, perineum, buttocks and legs.
