Why treat?: Those are your superficial temporal arteries. I'm not sure why you would want to mess with them, unless they are causing you emotional distress due to their unsightliness. They supply blood to the tissues of the scalp and temple. They can be enlarged during migraine headache attacks or inflamed in temporal arteritis. You don't seem to be suffering from either of these conditions, though.
