Tenderness: Although its hard to understand from your phrasing, lumps or swollen areas on the bottom of the foot could be many different things. Common pathologies include plantar fibromatosis (benign fibrous tissue growth), abscess, foreign body, callus, inflammation, etc. I'd recommend getting to your physician for a referral to a podiatric (foot) specialist and imaging (xrays).
