You could probably take acetaminophen; but more importantly you could use non medication modalities to ease the pain like exercises as tolerated and doing things you enjoy to take your mind off so the pain actually from the brain level could be diminished. The body is able to pull pain killing substances from the nervous system when you do things you enjoy. Comedy and laughter may actually help.
