A member asked:

I am 39 my fallopian tubes are blocked and i have symptoms of pregnancy is there a chance i could be pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible ectopic: A person with a history of "tubal blockage" can still become pregnant. Whether the tubes were blocked by infection such as chlamydia or pid, or were blocked intentionally (such as by getting a tubal ligation), a pregnancy may still occur. Ectopic pregnancy must be ruled out with serial HCG blood tests and ultrasound(s).
